32 and 33 Weeks

Were is all the time going? Week 32 was the mark of one of many new adventures for me. I am now officially a full time art teacher! It is pretty sweet to think that our baby girl is starting this adventure with me. I love having a friend with me at all times. I am not sure how I will feel when I have to give up how precious it is carrying her with me everywhere I go.

Week 33! Baby is the size of a Durian Fruit. If your like me you have no clue what that is. Check out the photo below for a visual. Baby and I have been very tired, getting more uncomfortable and fighting a cold. I had a hard time keeping a smile on my face for this picture due to not being able to breath. On the positive side Grant and I have enjoyed watching our little girl moving and kicking inside my belly! I have been enjoying taking warm baths to relax after my long days at work. Last night I could see Baby Girl moving all around my tummy as I took a bath. Seeing her move always brings a smile to my face and makes me a little teary eyed to think that she will soon be here and in my arms.

30 and 31 Weeks

Weeks 30 and 31 have come and gone! These past couple weeks were filled with sweet moments together. We had our last Baby Shower in Blakesburg! We are so very lucky to have so many friends and family members shower us with their love! With my last weeks before school Grant and I spent a lot of time just hanging out and reading/watching movies! We love having time to spend just the two of us but are so excited to imagine what our world will be like when our little one is here with us.

Another new journey: I have recently found out that I have gestational diabetes. I found this out a few weeks ago and have been dealing with the emotions that revolve around this new chapter of my pregnancy. I have been learning more about nutrition and how to take care of myself and Baby Girl.  I will share more on what I am learning and my journey with GD in a future post.

29 Weeks

This is the last couple of hours being 29 weeks pregnant. Grant just got off work and snapped my picture really quick. Talk about waiting till the last minute. This week was another busy one. Baby Girl is still kicking like crazy. I love feeling so connected to her. This week I am feeling more and more tired and having a harder time getting around to do things. Baby Girl weighs about three pounds now!

Baby Showers!!!

27/28 Weeks

Third Trimester is Here! With that has been a whole wave of staying busy. While I have been taking my weekly bump pictures, I have had a difficult time keeping up on the blog. So be prepared for a wave of posts that I have fallen behind on.

I have been feeling pretty good. Summer is coming to an end and I have accomplished almost everything on my To Do List! The nursery is almost ready for our little girls arrival and our home is just waiting for her to be a part of it. More on the Nursery coming soon.

26 Weeks

Baby is the size of a head of lettuce and weighs about 2 lb. I haven't wanted to leave the house lately due to the heat outside. All of this time at home has caused me to "nest" more and get the house organized and clean. This week has been very busy for Grant. He has been working so hard on getting the house ready for baby's arrival. We decided to add on a room over our garage and he spent Sunday and Monday finishing up the roof on the addition. I felt so bad for him working out in the 90 + degree weather. I have been working on walking more and getting my body in top shape for delivery. It really "hit me" that I am 6 months pregnant! Not much longer now...

25 Weeks

Week 25!!! Happy Fourth of July! Baby girl has been kicking me like crazy. Thankful it doesn't hurt (yet). It's such a sweet reminder that she is with me at all times. This week we are so thankful for help from our family as we are building a room onto our house.
